THANK YOU FOR VISITING OUR PAGE

We're raising awareness about a serious situation affecting a good family.

Several months ago Jacob's father experienced a severe, negative, rare, and cumulative reaction to a prescription medication commonly used to treat allergies.  His condition eventually became life-threatening, requiring hospitalization in the ICU.  After coming home, he continued dealing with subsequent, long-lasting physiological effects.  This unforeseen medical event plunged the family into crisis.

Word went out about their circumstance, and by the incredible kindness of friends and neighbors, impending homelessness was miraculously staved off through the entire holiday season.  While the circumstance has been difficult for Jacob, he has been able to maintain a general sense of safety and security primarily because of help and support from his elementary school and outreach by the community.

As Jacob's father now enters into the six month of brain recovery, he has regained much of his former functioning and can now begin the long trek to recover career and livelihood.  Sadly, it's "too little, too late" as the saying goes, as he is just now well enough to begin looking for work, and Jacob's mother also just now can begin looking for work since her assistance is no longer required.

The process of, and time framework for recovery has progressed as originally projected by medical professionals, but time has run out in terms of practical economic survival, and the family is once again facing the prospect of homelessness within the next 30 days (end of March 2019).  At this point, it will be devastating if the family is destroyed when they're so close to the end of this horrifying ordeal.  At this time they have no financial resources to draw on to survive.

A strong hand up from people who care is needed in order for them to summit their circumstance.  With just one more boost toward safety, their situation should find closure within the next 60-90 days, and they finally can be on their way.
